Miracles-Yes or No?

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.-A. Einstein

Okay, so you know the question you must ask yourself and that is what kind of person are you, a miracle person or a non miracle person?

For me there is really no choice but to be a miracle person, the other side seems so limiting and absolutely no fun. It is just too easy to be a miracle person if you are a believer in God. His miracles are out there fresh and new each and every day. Not so much in the big things but in the little things and I am convinced that is where the non-miracle people make there mistake.

They are looking for the spectacular when the spectacular is really in the small stuff. They are looking for the blind to see and the lame to walk each and every day. Non-miracle people expect everyone to be healed of disease who prays and believes and when that doesn’t happen they loose sight of the real miracle like how God sees the hurting through their difficult days by sending people by to minister or by just helping them make it through the pain just one more day.

Miracle people have there eyes open wide and see the wonderful works of God each and every day. We may be simple people but I believe that is the only way to live. Let me lay some miracles out there I see and then your assignment is to write out a few of your own.

  • The precious smile of a new born baby, sweet, innocent and a gift from God. Who taught this baby how to smile, only God.
  • The sun just keeps coming up every day, followed closely by the moon. Was this planned by accident, I don’t think so.
  • How do birds fly, so effortlessly, that is so cool, who could invent such a thing but God.
  • That feeling in your stomach when you are near people you love, who put that there? What a precious miracle.
  • I don’t have to tell my heart to beat and it just keeps doing it. In my simple mind that is unbelievable. The human body in general with each detail planned to perfection. A miracle, you bet.
  • When you’re just starting to feel sorry for yourself, that email comes or that friend calls with a need and all of a sudden life is put into its proper perspective. Who has that planned, only God.
  • That God loves us and sent his Son to die for us so that we might live in heaven. Would man have done such a thing, does this make sense to me, not really? God’s son is born of a virgin, dies on a cross, and is raised from the dead and all for me?!? Salvation the greatest miracle of God, only he could come up with such a plan.

Those are just a few, I could go on for quite a while but this is not about me this is about you today. I guarantee you there are miracles you have already walked by today, stop count them out and thank God for them.

How do you know what a miracle is? I have a simple definition, if only God can do it, it is a miracle. Look around and I think you will move from the non miracle side to the miracle side in a hurry.

Scripture: Psalms 77:13&14, “Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.”

Prayer: Dear Lord, open our eyes that we might see your wondrous works, your great power and your divine intervention and give you the proper praise you deserve. Help us be miracle people and we ask these things in the name of Christ, Amen.
